Terms of Service

Effective June 26, 2026

By installing or using RackScan, you agree to these terms. They cover how you may use the app, how scan packs work, and what is and isn't guaranteed.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use RackScan on devices you own or control, subject to these terms.

Acceptable use

AI output disclaimer

Assessments are produced by an AI model and are best-effort. Device identifications, capability estimates, and risk flags can be wrong. RackScan is an aid to a qualified technician - not a substitute for professional judgement. Always verify before recommending purchases, configurations, or replacements to a client.

Scan packs and quotas

Refunds

Refunds are handled by the app store where you purchased the pack under that store's policies. For exceptional cases (charged but app non-functional, accidental purchase within 48 hours), email support@rackscan.app and we will work with you.

Data and deletion

Signed-out scans, clients, and settings live on your device. Tap Settings - Delete All My Data to wipe local app data. If you create a workspace, RackScan may store account, usage, project, scan, and billing-status records in its cloud backend. See the Privacy Policy for deletion request instructions.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

RackScan is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data, loss of business, or decisions made based on AI output. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for RackScan in the preceding 12 months, or $50, whichever is greater.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email (if you have an account) at least 14 days before they take effect.
